See these ladies.....

ToniandMom

They have been bff's since I was 7. They met in Germany and our families became fast friends, doing everything together. We were only stationed in Germany together, but some how we were always together. From Germany we moved to San Angelo, Tx and the Tessaro's were moved to Austin, Tx. When we moved to Holland, they moved to England. Through the years, even when many years pass, Mom and Toni continue to keep in contact. Their friendship is so precious and amazing.

It's funny, growing up military, we often say we don't have roots. We move from place to place, kinda like gypsies, never really calling one place home. Visiting with Aunt Toni, mom, and Erica was like being home. It made me realize roots are more than a place you've lived for most of your life. Roots are the people in which you form relationships with. Those people that you share holidays with, that love you regardless, that will pray for you, and cry with you, that will embrace you, encourage you, tell you when you're wrong, and laugh with you.

We have shared so much in life. Being with them this past weekend was pretty amazing. It was cool to have 3 generations together. Our moms, Erica and I, and our kids.

Last time I saw her she was 14 and I was 16.

The kids met for the first time. They had to hear all about our lives as kids together. We made them take pictures together just the way our parents made us.

Pretty amazing that all of this started by the friendship of these ladies 33 years ago.
