Amazing weekend. We started the weekend by going to watch Trinity lose again......2 weeks in a row!!! What's up Trojans??? This week it was to Allen. On the other hand Paschal won their 2nd game this year, which is pretty amazing to say the least. Ken wasn't at the game this week because she was sick all week long.
Saturday I woke at 730am with a migraine, but I went back to sleep and it was gone by 11am. YAY! My little cheer team had pictures at 2pm and the game was at 3pm. Despite all of our cheering we lost our first game to the Hurricanes. It was disappointing, but the boys played a great game. We'll get em next time.
Aren't they beauties!
Saturday night we went over to Debi's new apartment and just hung out with her Savanah, Aggie, Carol, Eileen, Craig, Tracy, and Rhonda and a whole gaggle of kids. That was nice ~ We haven't seen Craig and Tracy and their kids in a couple of years. They have grown up so much.
Sunday we had plans to go to Savanah's birthday party after church at the Little Gym in Arlington.......you know what they say about plans.......Ken and I had a brilliant idea that we would make Savanah her birthday present. We recently (with the help from Jamie) made a fleece blanket for Ken. You know the ones, you tye them on the sides. Looks easy and fast (it is when you have Jamie), any hoo, we left church and went to Joanns bought the cutest little mermaid fleece and pink fleece for the back. We got home about 1230 and set everything up. I figured it would take us about an hour and we'd maybe leave our house at 130pm at the latest. We'd be a little late to the birthday party, but no problem, we'd have a cool home made gift. Well let's just say the blanket turned out cute, but we didn't finish it until after 2pm. We completely missed the birthday party and had to meet up with Debi and the family at Debi's apartment. Today my back still hurts and my knees have bruises!!! Any way, it was all worth it!

OM, it's been so long since I've been able to update anything!!! Here's the excuse....you ready for it.....the DOG ate my Charger!!!! No, it's true, the stupid dog ate my mac book charger and it took me for ever to get a new one. Crazy dog!

Aunt Gladys visited! I didn't get to spend much time with her, but I did get to see her. She was beautiful as ever!
Summer ended and school started. Kenadee started purple elite, which is the dance team at school.......she doesn't really like it because their coach doesn't let them have fun at the games. She has to sit there quitely and stiffly while the band is having so much fun dancing around an laughing. She's already said she will not be doing this next year. But here's a picture of her.
Ken had a friend that turned 15 this month so she got to go to her first Quinceniara. It was a pretty cool experience. Mean while, while she was at the quince I went to chaparone my first high school dance as part of the pta. It was called the Howdy dance. WOW what an eye opener!!! Since when are short shorts, a bandana as a top, and cowboy boots western wear??? Then the dancing was hideous! I guess I'm old, but our teachers would never allow us to grind the way these students were. I was glad that Ken decided to skip the dance and go to the Nancy's quince. She had such fun and she got to see many middle school friends she has been missing. Here's a picture of Ken before going to Nancy's party.

We went as a family to watch Trinity HS play their first game this year at the New Cowboy Stadium. We met a group of friends and just spent the day rooting Trinity to a victory of Bingham HS from Utah. The stadium is amazing and the jumbo screen is a hugh as they say. I would catch myself watching it more than watching the field and when I took my eyes of the screen to look at the field my eyes had a hard time focusing. It was crazy, but such fun. Rodney has decided we should go watch one Cowboy game there......we'll see, cause it's crazy expensive.
Rodney with the screen behind him
Ken and Cam sport'n their Trinity wear.
Last but definitely not least, we've started our Peewee cheerleading again this year. Our team is small, but they are precious. We are the Longhorns!! Say hello to the beautiful RYA Longhorns!!!
