Back in December Jennifer Mckinney was in Fort Worth and she took some family pictures of us. Here are a sampling of what she got....

Its broken, its not broken, its broken, its not

.......this is the roller coaster ride we're taking with Rodneys arm. The doctors are still not sure if there's an issue. I have a feeling he'll end up in a cast from wrist to bicep. Dr appointment today 1pm.

Yesterday was just one of those day that you want to climb into bed, pull the covers tight over your head, and just stay put until you feel better. That's just what I did.....well almost. I left work, went to the post office, then I climbed in bed and just slept for 2 hours! I got up in time to get something together for dinner before church. I'm wasn't physically tires, well not really, it was more emotional. Really for no reason at all, just in that place. I was a bit I mean a lot grouchy. Today is a better day and I think I'm back to normal! and everyone says AMEN!

God is Good

Today I was reminded of God's greatness. I shouldn't have to be reminded, but I'm human and tend to forget. He is so good! Even in the depths of despair.......Especially in the depths of despair. We may think we're suffering alone, but we're not, He's with us! We're just human and we endure all the emotions that go along with that. So, I'll continue to pray for my friend that is walking through some valleys, and know that God is with her. He's taking care of her in the midst of her sorrows.

Marriage

I've got marriage things going on in my mind. Not sure why, but seems to be weighing heavy. I know that God intended marriage to be the joining of two people. The bible says "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh." Gen 2:24 and "So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Matt 19:6 I also know my marriage vows said "In good times and bad, until death do us part".....I also know (in my head) that the order of things should go God first, than my husband, than my child. Like I said I know this all in my head, but I have so much trouble applying this in real life. It seems I NEVER get the order right. I'd like to work really hard on getting that order right in my life this year. This may be hard for my kiddo to deal with because more often than not I put her before everything. There will be times that I will fail miserably trying to get this right, but I'll just have to pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep plugging away at it. I love my husband, but I know in my years of marriage I have not always been the best wife and friend to him. So babe, I pledge to work on that. I have no doubt that we're committed to each other. We wouldn't have made it through 20+ years together. So be praying for me and my journey to make this right this coming year, I'll need it!
