We spent a quiet day at home with our little family. Kens gifts were opened on Christmas Eve....which seems to, some how, become a tradition for us. Ken says we should wait until midnight, but um, Hello, I can't stay up until midnight, I'm OLD!!! Anyway, it was like 8 and she opened all her gifts. She scored some good loot! Her boy got her a beautiful necklace.

Sunday school with the little kids is such a blast. They are nutty and will say the craziest things but I love them! What a blessing it is to be the one to remind them of what Christmas is all about, especially on the actual day! Christmas lunch was very untraditional. No turkey or ham for us. We had some sorta pasta dish. Nothing exciting, but it was good. We ended the day playing the longest game of Cranium EVER!!! Rodney and I FINALLY beat the kids, but I think it took 4 hours. We got tired and decided to just let an All Play card decide our fate. That's a fun game - it would be a real blast if we had a big group playing.

It's nice to have today off! I think all work weeks should be 4 days long - I believe we spend way too much time at work.

Miss my family, will need to plan a trip home soon just to hang out with the parents. I am tremendously blessed. With a loving family. My parents, who will drop what their doing in a second just to be there for me in a moments notice. My husband, who has been around more than half my life and continues to hang in there. My daughter, who is precious and special and a gift from God. This amazing group of people keep me going on a daily basis. I don't tell them often enough what they mean to me. I hope they know......

Christmas

I love this time of year. It's been a fast one......the years seem to go faster the older I get. This year Rodney started the year with a broken arm and ended the year with a second knee surgery. Needless to say, it seems he hit a wall when he hit his mid 40's. So for now, he's sitting on the couch recovering from the scope he had last week.

Kenadee is half way through her junior year.....That makes me sad. She has her first boyfriend, and they decorated their first Christmas tree together.

She'll do the driving portion of the driving test tomorrow. I'll finally have someone I can send to the store! She's a great kid! We're very blessed.

As for me, well, I'm just hanging out. Trying to take care of my family. Still working the odd hours. No complaints. Thankful for Gods continued grace, love, and mercy. Still enjoy taking pictures. Haven't taken any classes recently, but I will look into some at the beginning next year.

Thanksgiving

Wish I was with extended family, but am very grateful for my little immediate family. Today I'm doing the cooking and serving for my husband and daughter. Kenadee will spend the afternoon with her boyfriend and his family, so Rodney and I will be on our own, which is fine. We'll spend the afternoon eating and watching football. I've got to work tomorrow, but just a few hours, no big deal. It will be quiet. I look forward to those quiet times at work.

We are so blessed. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
